Sayshort

Support

Email support@sayshort.app. Telling us what you said to the app and what it did instead is usually enough to find the problem.

Why won't it let me add everything?

Because it doesn't fit. Sayshort works out how long your day actually is and how long your tasks actually take, and when the second number is bigger it says so rather than quietly accepting eleven hours of work into an eight-hour day. It will suggest what to move. Nothing is deleted.

Why are the times vague?

"About an hour" is deliberate. Precise blocks — 11:14 to 11:26 — are invented, wrong within the hour, and then make you feel behind a schedule that was never real. Appointments and reminders you set yourself do get exact times, because you named one.

Can I reorder tasks myself?

Yes, in the day editor — the button in the corner of Today. Drag there and Sayshort keeps your order rather than overriding it. Deciding the order for you is the default because choosing between fourteen flat items is the exact task most people are stuck on — but it's a default, not a rule.

Today itself is deliberately not editable. A list where every row invites you to reconsider it is a list you rearrange instead of a plan you start, so everything that changes the day lives one tap away in the editor.

I didn't finish yesterday's tasks. Where did they go?

They moved to today. Unfinished work carries over at the end of your day automatically; nothing is lost and nothing is marked late.

The microphone isn't working

Check iOS Settings → Sayshort → Microphone. If you'd rather not grant it, typing does everything speaking does — it's a peer, not a fallback.

Do I need an account?

No. Sayshort plans your day with no sign-in at all, and your day is stored on your phone. Setup offers Sign in with Apple or Google once — that is optional, you can answer "Not now", and skipping it changes nothing about how the app works.

Signing in only saves your name and email address on the device, so there is a stable identity to attach your data to if syncing between devices is ever added. Nothing is uploaded either way. See the privacy page for the detail.

How do I delete my data?

Delete the app. Everything Sayshort stores is on your device and goes with it. See the privacy page for what that covers.

Something's broken

Email support@sayshort.app with what you expected and what happened. If the plan came out wrong, the exact sentence you gave it is the single most useful thing you can include.
